Angel Ball - Anniversary Gala |
|
The Anniversary Gala & Dance celebrates the founding of the TCCF. Each year, this event attracts about 500 of our supporters, their families and friends. It usually consists of a buffet style Caribbean dinner, live entertainment and dancing, as well as, short messages from Caribbean Consul Generals . In past years, highlights included appearances by Liberty Silver-Jazz and R&B vocalist, the Gunaseelan Dance Company (Classical East Indian Dance), Jennifer Sohan, Dick Lochan - Calypso Monarch, Bernie J & The Galaxy Band, an international group of reggae musicians. Past MC's included Gwenyth Chapman, Host of City TV’s "All About You" and Camille Ross, Host of Rogers Cable "Guyana Beat". Miss Canada was also on hand to greet guests at the event. Raffle prizes in previous years included diamond earrings and a trip for two provided by Lotus Jewellers and Caribbean Airlines, respectively.
Tickets are reasonably priced at $30 - $40 per person and include buffet dinner and dancing. Please see the upcoming event section for more details.

Caribbean Flava Summer Lime |

The Caribbean Flava Summer Lime is held in mid-August each year. It is a family picnic that attracts over 1000 TCCF supporters. The highlights include live entertainment by various artistes and performers. In previous years performers included Omesh and The Wave Band, Calypso Monarch Dick Lochan, MC John Phillips a comedian, and Flaunt it Fashion Show. Several performers entertain a captive audience with Chutney style songs, Soca, Reggae and Calypso. A guest appearance from Miss Toronto Tourism was added to the event in 2009. Food tents offer a variety of Caribbean dishes and soft drinks for sale

Each year in July, the Enterprise 2000 is infused with Caribbean flavour as it makes a four hour trip around Lake Ontario. Year after year the boat is filled to capacity and supporters enjoy the music of Royal Sound DJ Service on the two main dance floors, as well as, a delicious Caribbean lunch. Keybase Financial, the Signature Guardian Sponsor provides gift bags filled with goodies to all attendees. There are many great prizes that are raffled throughout the event. Indeed, a perfect way to enjoy a lovely Sunday afternoon on the lake while supporting a great cause - giving a second lease of life to critically ill children from the Caribbean.
Admission for this event ranges from $40 to $50 (please see the upcoming events section for details). Admission includes the boat cruise, lunch and giveaways.

Valentine's Dinner & Dance |

TCCF's Fundraising Valentine Dinner & Dance is the first major event of the year. This event attracts up to 500 guests. The evening consists of a buffet style dinner, roses for the ladies, live entertainment, DJ music, dancing, and much more.
The delicious dinner is usually donated by various food suppliers including Caribbean Heat Family Restaurant. Live entertainment is provided during dinner by renowned Caribbean performers, for example, Richard Luces in 2009. Following dinner, guests move to the dancing floor and dance to music by local DJs such as DJ Arjune and DJ Ano. Various sponsors donate prizes that are raffled off each year, at the event. Previous prizes included a diamond necklace and diamond earrings from Lotus Jewellers / Robin's Goldsmithing.
Tickets are reasonably priced between $30 - $40 (please see upcoming events section for details), and this includes dinner.
Volunteers are welcome to assist at this event. To register as a volunteer please visit the volunteers section of the website. High School students who need "community service" hours to satisfy their graduation requirements will be issued an official letter for the number of hours volunteered. Please inform Jay in advance.
