One-year-old Jade required surgery to repair a congenital heart defect which is among the most common of birth defects. Baby Jade's family raised $25,824.40 to contribute towards the cost of the surgery and TCCF paid the balance. Jade's operation was successfully performed by Dr. Lee Benson at the HSC. Jade's recovery went so well that she was present at TCCF's annual boat cruise in 2004. She is now back home in Trinidad.
