Jade Destiny Lawrence

One-year-old Jade Destiny required surgery to repair a congenital heart defect, which is one of the most common birth defects. Her family raised $25,824.40 and TCCF paid the difference to cover the cost of surgery which was successfully performed by Dr. Lee Benson at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Jade's surgery went so well that she was present at TCCF's annual boat cruise in 2004. She is now living a normal life in Trinidad.
